DIY - Kanye Yeezy Boots

Why would you buy shoes for $900 when you can make a pair in your house using three simple items! I'm sure you have all heard about Kanye West's "Yeezy" clothing/footwear line. Basically Kanye's line is the reason why this "homeless" look is trending now. Distressed clothing with holes and rips in it are now FASHION. Today I am doing to give you simple steps to make your very own Yeezy boots.
Here's what you're going to need: a plain pair of pumps (i didn't have plain one's, so i used my sparkly ones), a pair of socks (any color you want), and a pair of scissors.
Step 1: Put on one shoe.
Step 2: Put the sock on over the shoe, and make sure it is on the shoe tight because you don't want the socks to look lose. Make sure it looks like this:
Step 3: Use the scissors to cut a tiny hole in the sock where it meets the tip of the heel on the sock.
Step 4: Push the heel through, and there you go!
Step 5: Repeat the same steps for the other shoe.
Now you can enjoy your brand new pair of DIY Yeezy boots. Here's how my pair came out.
Looks pretty good, right? Now if you wanted to actually wear these shoes out, i'm sure you're wondering... "wouldn't the bottom of the shoe be slippery because the socks are covering the grips on the shoes?" You are absolutely right! I didn't realize you were so smart :). The solution to this is very simple.
Step 1: Buy sand paper from Walmart.
Step 2: Cut the sand paper into the shape of the bottom of the shoes.
Step 3: Use a hot glue gun, and glue the sand paper to the bottom of the shoes.
Now you have your Yeezy boots for 0 dollars, and your not going to slip and fall on your face. Everyone wins! Make sure you try this out and send me pictures of how your DIY Yeezy boots came out. Im excited to see what colors you decided to make! :)
